Well, anatomically that would be impossible, but no one pushes Hoffman Construction around when it comes to pushing dirt. We've been doing it for so long, and doing it well, since 1915 in fact, that we've been recognized by the U.S. Department of Transportation as being the Prime Contractor of the Year in 2004. We've also been named one of the 300 top Federal Highway Contractors by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association, and Peter Hoffman has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the
University
of
Wisconsin.

Our company was founded by Peter J. Hoffman, a great horseman, who went into the road construction business driving his team of steeds and mules. Four generations followed after that, and today hundreds of Hoffman associates operate massive earth-moving equipment. Both the associates and the equipment have plenty of horsepower - for road construction and commercial and residential site development.

Jim Hoffman, the current President of the company says it best. "After a project is finished, I make a point of returning to the site - sometimes several years later. It's almost always an eye-opener.
