The pipe installation at the Lomira project has proven to be very challenging.  With the extremely wet conditions and rock excavation, the installation of the 42" storm sewer has been at times difficult.

Crew Foreman, Tom Morris, stood next to the stable rock cut in the pipe. He sported his waders for this work, while Andy Marx maneuvered the 345's teeth through the rocky muck! Eight feet of overburden was removed, and then 11 feet of rock excavation remained. The pipe trench was supposed to be excavated with a grinder, but half of it was able to be blasted.
